Category | Monoclonal Antibody |
Clone Nr. | (#8A03) |
Isotype | IgG1 |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Formulation | lyophilized |
Buffer | PBS |
Reconstitution | Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute the antibody with 500 µl sterile PBS and the final concentration is 200 µg/ml. |
Stability and Storage | Lyophilized samples are stable for 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Reconstituted antibody can be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20°C for at least six months without detectable loss of activity. |
Preparation | This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a mouse) immunized with human VE-Cadherin recombinant protein. The IgG1 fraction of culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. |
Antigen | extracellular domain of human VE-Cadherin |
Application | ELISA, WB, IHC |
Synonyms | CDH5; 7B4; CD144 |
Description | The antibody reacts with human CD144, also known as VE-cadherin and cadherin-5. The cadherin family of receptors, which are calcium-dependent adhesion molecules, is known to be involved in homophilic cell interactions. VE-cadherin, which is 140 kDa, is localized at the intercellular boundaries of endothelial cells in blood and lymphatic vessels in several tissues. It is thought to play a role in vascular permeability and remodeling. |
