Description / PF-4

PF-4 is a CXC chemokine that is expressed in megakaryocytes and stored in the α-granules of platelets. PF-4 is chemotactic towards neutrophils and monocytes and has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis. Recombinant human PF-4 is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 70 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved residues present in CXC chemokines.

Reconstitution Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.

Preparation Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant human PF 4 (human Platelet Factor-4). Anti-human PF 4 specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing immobilized human PF 4 matrix.
