CD8 is a heterodimeric glycoprotein consisting of an alpha and beta chain. It is expressed on cytolytic T cells and functions in conjunction with the T cell receptor in the recognition of MHC/peptide complexes.

Preparation This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a rat immunized with mouse Thymus/Spleen Tissues. IgG2 fraction of the culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
